The outer surface has a very heavily pitted quality, much more so than the other textured silver rings in this section and would, therefore, appeal to customers looking for jewellery with that distressed look to it. Even though it is heavily textured, the casting gives the silver a lovely natural colour and makes it smooth to the touch. The different darker areas of the surface against the brighter silver give the piece an almost weather-beaten feel. The rough, natural look represents the walk through life: the path is not always smooth, but it has bumps and cracks.

Not only does it have the texture mentioned in the above paragraph, but it boasts a slightly twisted or distorted quality to the profile; therefore, when laid flat, it does not rest entirely straight - a real, authentic piece of Cornish treasure.
