Titanium is used to make alloys and is a very light substance. Even though in appearance the metal is grey it is also lustrous and can be polish finished to produce very bright and mirror reflective jewellery. |
Industrial metals such as titanium can also be used to create attractive jewellery. Zirconium can also be used to make rings too such as the one pictured here. |
Titanium for space age jewellery. Titanium is a space age substance. We know this because when the Americans went to the moon they brought back rocks containing it. A few meteorites have also contained traces of titanium. |
|
Titanium has hypoallergenic qualities - in other words it won't irritate sensitive skin and leave a nasty rash like cheaper jewellery may. Love2Have don't sell any cheap jewellery or rings on there site. |
Titanium is very versatile in its uses for jewellery. All sorts of different styles and looks can be created from the metal including this designer style pictured above. |
Titanium was discovered in 1791 but it wasn't until a hundred years after that the metal was fully understood and ready to be used in manufacturing. Titanium Jewellery is a very recent use for titanium and that is why our rings are very modern in design. Even traditional design styles such as the Celtic pattern above can be reworked to give a modern funky design. |
| Jewellery through the Recession
We are still trying to come through the worst recession in living memory with many industries having been badly hit by the downturn, particularly those retailing luxury goods such as jewellery. We have adorned ourselves with jewellery since time immemorial, so has the recession impacted on the jewellery we are buying? Undoubtedly because of the record highs in gold prices this year, there has been a down turn in the in the sales of gold jewellery with silver jewellery and beaded costume jewellery becoming ever more popular. However to see how the market has really changed, turn on the TV and observe the female newsreader and presenters most of whom are all wearing brightly coloured large pieces of costume jewellery. Browse through celebrity magazines and you will see the same pattern. Large beads strung on long chains in all colours and it seems the bigger and brighter the better. Is this a case of bad times are here but I want to cheer myself up by wearing this gaudy trinket. Remember that colour can have a big affect on mood. It's not just at the cheaper end of the market with costume jewellery that we have seen this change. There has been a proliferation of charm jewellery with young women clambering for the latest must have bracelet which she can customise with individual beads and charms. One can only sympathise with any parent or boyfriend faced with the demand for the this latest craze as these items of jewellery don't come cheap. By the time you have filled your bangle with those tacky charms, you will have kissed goodbye to several hundred pounds at the cheaper end or goods made in the far east. It is possible to pay into the thousands for these trinkets which are being mass produced and on sale on every high street and all over the web. Whatever happened to individuality and taste? How quickly before this latest novelty wears off. This latest craze has sparked off a huge rush to copy these must haves and fakes are all over the internet at more realistic prices. At least shoppers can bag a bargain on items that are likely to fade out of popularity very fast as the fashion craze changes. For those that would prefer something a little more tasteful and individual, even though times are tight, why not invest in a classy affordable item that will last for many years and won't date. There are still many small independent designers in the UK producing beautiful quality hand crafted silver jewellery at prices to suit all budgets. In the UK we have lost much of our manufacturing base. Lets not lose our jewellery designers. Support our talented UK designers and you will have a beautiful piece of jewellery that you will be happy to wear for many years to come. |

I just wanted to send a big thank you for all your help dealing with the ordering & making of our wedding rings.
They have arrived today and are absolutely perfect, exactly what we have spent many months trying to find. They both fit very comfortably, I cannot wait until the 7th so that I can wear it for 'real'.
Again, thank you for your patience and understanding over the telephone and also for doing exactly as you said you would (unfortunately a rare occurrence with a lot of other companies), the rings arrived when I was in to sign for them and I'm sitting here with a big smile on my face!
Kind regards,
Debbie Grey
