This 9ct gold wedding ring looks like a piece of jewellery that has washed up onto a British beach, maybe a treasure found on a seashore or a cove around the UK coastline?
It comes in 9ct gold and measures approximately 3mm wide. We decided on a 3mm width because we think there is just enough gold to make the ring look substantial, but not so much that it becomes unaffordable, and it also boasts a suitable wall thickness. We also offer a wider version in this section, which means the option to purchase this design as a wedding ring set for him and her. The ring is rounded in profile and comes with a comfort fit.
Made in Cornwall, this beautiful wedding ring is meticulously handcrafted in the traditional way. The outer surface has a very heavily pitted quality, much more so than the other textured wedding rings in this section, and would therefore appeal to women looking for jewellery with a distressed look. The texture reflects the natural cycles of the seashore and reminds us of coastal seascapes, as the surface has a soft, natural colour. Even though it is heavily textured, the casting gives the gold a lovely natural tone and makes it smooth to the touch. The idea behind the rough, natural look represents the walk through life: the path is not always smooth but has bumps and cracks. The texture highlights the gold's sandy yellow colour against the darker, oxidised areas, giving the piece an almost weather-beaten feel.
Not only does it have the texture mentioned in the above paragraph, but it boasts a slightly twisted or distorted quality to the profile; therefore, when laid flat, it does not rest perfectly straight - a real, authentic piece of Cornish treasure, then?
