Roger Dubuis appeared in the world of watchmaking as an independent craftsman in 1980. He was born in Geneva, where there prevailed the atmosphere created by many of the world's leading experts, so his great interest in timepieces and his innovative spirit seemed only natural and inspired him for  establishing his own manufactory in 1995. The idea of two partners, Roger Dubuis and Carlos Dias,  was lying in creating watches based on tradition but keeping an eye on the future, combining horological  tradition with modernity. The original name was Sogem SA, substituted later by Roger Dubuis.

The fame and success of Roger Dubuis timepieces is steadily increasing as the world discovers the elegant craftsmanship representing the hallmark of this young company.

The Roger Dubuis Company has been honored to carry the famous coat of arms of the City of Geneva in recognition  of a manufacturer's correspondence to the strict standards proponed in the seventeenth century. The sizes and shapes of the early Dubuis’s creations enjoyed great appreciation in the watch industry.

The watchmaker developed his own calibers, the RD28 and RD98 mechanical movements. Every Dubuis watch is created in a handmade, exclusive edition.
